(Mummy: Marky jumped out of enclosure and stood at the wooden gate just outside the pool area, woofing away. Am glad he didnt run down the open pathway on the left and disappear! Had to tie Barn2 up and throw Marky into the pool. Our original plan was to put Barn2 in the enclosure when its Marky's turn to swim. With Marky by the wooden gate, we had to change our plans.)
(Marky: Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz)
(Mummy: Shh...Marky is asleep now. Exhausted.)
COMMENT RE POOL AT MUTTS AND MITTONS:
Plus points: 1 Clean 2 very nice. 3 Reserved for the period the dogs are there (ie the time slot is blocked out for you). 4 Very friendly and helpful staff. 5 Can bring all three furkids there together and let the two boys take their turns swimming/being tied up.
Minus points: 1 Twice the cost of Petgamart pool (but if extras are seen as 'donation' to Mutts and Mittons' good work- not a problem). 2 The side of the pool is very slippery- can be dangerous to humans when chasing dogs. 3 The small 'flow-oever tank/pool' by the side of the big pool can be a problem because Clare doesn't know she is not supposed to jump into that one. Barn2 almost climbed into it from the big pool. 4 Logistical issues have to be worked out: how to keep Barn2 and Marky separated? Marky could climb over the enclosure with the wooden gate. Earlier- I thought we could put one of them in the side cages while the other swam but all the side cages were full of dogs today. It was ok to tie Marky or Barn2 by their leash - to the gate latch....but I would feel more comfortable if they have a gate separating them. 5. We can't wash the dogs there- have to pay more for it. 6. Its a half hour slot. Although they are open to us staying longer if there isnt another booking after us...we have to watch the time to be fair to them. The hour-long slot is more expensive. 7. Its a longer walk to the car and there are people and dogs along the way...Have to make sure Barn2 doesnt try to get into a fight on the way back to the car.
