He started as a grey-ish pup....
The grey changed to chocolate brown....
Now he is a brown-ish pup....
His eyes have always looked like those of a husky (blue-ish)...
Blu-ies are rare among Pembroke Welsh corgis. It is supposed to be a 'fault' as far as breeders are concerned...simply because its not the 'standard color'.
There are other breeders (not the Kennel Club types) who like blu-ies so much that they specialise in producing them!
In any case- Asher is such a joy to have...whatever his color. He may not have the strikingly handsome looks of his brother Ariel (aka Antonio Banderas) but he has nice unusual markings ....and an absolutely crazy sense of humour (he is our "Mr Bean"). We love him very much...
